Dear Impact Collective Community,
Happy New Year! As we welcome 2025, we find ourselves reflecting on a year of profound impact and growth at the Impact Collective. In 2024, we expanded our reach—connecting individuals, fostering deeper conversations, and supporting action toward closing the racial wealth gap. Through our retreats and workshops, Collective Conversations, and partnerships, we’ve strengthened our ability to activate more individuals and families to align their resources with justice and community needs. With gratitude for all we’ve achieved together, we look ahead to 2025 with optimism, determination, and a renewed focus on place-based investing and community-building as tools for resilience and transformation.
This commitment comes at a critical moment. In times of political upheaval and increasing wealth disparities, place-based investing is not only an economic strategy but also an act of resistance and hope. By directing resources into communities where they are most needed, we fortify the connections that bind us and cultivate the power to change systems.
Our upcoming workshops and retreats are designed to equip us all with the tools and clarity needed to take meaningful action to build an inclusive economy. There’s something for everyone! To kick off the new year, I invite you to join our first Collective Conversation of 2025 this Friday, January 10th with Betty Francisco, CEO of Boston Impact Initiative (BII). Through their integrated capital funds, BII has channeled financial resources into local entrepreneurs of color and community-controlled real estate—preventing displacement and fostering sustainable economic opportunities. Betty’s work highlights how intentional local investments can drive racial and economic justice while building resilience in the communities that need it most.
Thank you for being part of our community. Together, we will continue to shift systems, strengthen communities, and move boldly toward the future we envision.

Freedom School for Philanthropy: Women Donors Cohort Tuesday-Friday, Feb 4-7, 2025 Location: Downtown LA Proper Hotel, Los Angeles, CA Express Interest
Freedom School for Philanthropy is a curriculum for high-net-wealth individual donors, families, and advisors keen to advance their equity-and justice-focused philanthropic journeys to move more resources faster to organizations and movements led by and for communities of color. We are inspired by the Freedom Schools of the Civil Rights movement, and we also articulate our own journeys into the collective work of building a truly pluralistic, multi-racial democracy on this land. Radiant built the Freedom School for Philanthropy curriculum based on the wishes and guidance of over a dozen movement leaders.
Radiant has hosted 6 cohorts since 2022 including one with a group of ultra-high net wealth DAF holders at Fidelity Charitable and the inaugural women’s cohort.
